About Artellite:
Based in Somerset House on the Strand, London, Artellite is a British commercial art technology business promoting and selling art online and offline. Founded in 2003, the company is one of the oldest online art galleries. Artellite powers sub branded art galleries (including DegreeArt.com, ContemporaryCollective.com & DegreeArt.cn) which enable the company to represent artists at each stage of their career from student to emerging to established and onto the secondary market. In the past 12 months, the company has gained great traction, rising 20 places in the industry recognized Online Art trading rankings (produced by Hiscox) to number 19 in the UK, Europe and USA. The company is expanding globally, and we are seeking a candidate to join the current team to assist and accelerate the business' and stalkeholders' fundraising and growth ambitions.
About the Candidate:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a background in business development, e-commerce, infrastructure and customer service centres environments. You will have a digital, entrepreneurial background and know how to take strategies from conception through to execution. An accomplished strategist, you will have a proven track record in identifying global consumer insights, consumer, technology and industry trends. Specifically, you will have in depth knowledge of the 'Silicone Valley' and West Coast, USA start -up/ incubator space and be able to identify opportunities for the company to leverage their current positioning and grow their US focussed business with respect of consumers, creatives, and partnerships. You will be able to advise, consult, and guide the required corporate culture change and strategy development that will result in growth by identifying current and future trends that can impact business. You will be recognised in your field/s as an innovator. The successful candidate will have a wealth of corporate brand knowledge and be able to transfer skills gained in these organisations, translating them into the incubator structure.
About the Role:
The new candidate will work closely with both the board and the team managing and overseeing the technology innovation strategies ensuring its effective execution. Working alongside the Co-Founders, the successful candidate will initially identify goals and strategies for the short and medium term future of the business. The candidate will then oversee the accomplishment of the set goals. You will adopt a strategy that is based on consumer-centric experiences, brand stories, visual design and breakthrough strategies that generate both value and growth in the company. Alongside this, you will develop a structure for empowering and growing the team, post investment, understanding the existing areas to scale and new to venture into. You will work to identify the 'Brand Voice/Personality' and be instrumental in the launch and repositioning of the Artellite brand in the UK, USA and China. You will develop content strategies, new products using your considerable experience of Market Research/Social Intelligence/UX techniques.
